From our first original hotel-breezeway location to relocating to 38 Front Street a few years later and now to celebrate our 30th anniversary, Touch of Gold Jewelers has once again relocated so that we can serve you better. The business now sits not too far from that, at 29 Front Street.

Heeru, the owner, a woman understands first-hand what women desire in their jewelry. She gives credit to what inspired her to get into the jewelry business; it was a chance snippet of conversation she overheard that transpired between two women in 1989. This is what they had to say “Eighty percent of jewelry is sold to women, yet wherever we go we see most jewelry stores are owned by men; wouldn’t it be nice to be served by a woman instead?” which got her thinking. Furthermore, she states that buying jewelry is a “want not a need” and she relates to her customers “in a daughterly, sisterly, motherly & grandmotherly fashion.” She admits she’s blessed with a “memory chip for names” which is a benefit in serving the store’s now 80 percent repeat customer base; thus giving the business a “woman’s touch.”
